Kiddi vouchers are an easy way for working parents to save money. In October of last year, the Government closed the Voucher schemes to new joiners. Members of the scheme can still enjoy the savings provided by Childcare Vouchers.
The Kiddi Voucher is a Government-funded scheme. It is designed to help low-income families pay for childcare costs. The scheme pays a fixed amount for each day that a child attends care. You can claim up to £15.50 per day for childcare under this scheme. A Childcare Voucher is paid directly into your bank account when you enrol in a childcare service. There are no direct payments into your bank account when you take your child to the nursery.
To qualify for a Kiddi voucher you must be a member of a Kiddi scheme and have been a member for at least 6 months prior to the date you apply. The maximum amount that a family can claim back in tax relief each year is £15,000. The scheme does not cover carer’s allowance.
